LGBTQ+ nightlife, launching in the UK

Safer queer nights.

Tickets, guest lists and vetting, built for discretion. One platform for queer events of every kind, from open club nights to private, vetted parties.

18+ only. Scene is for adults.

The problem

Queer nights run on trust. The tools don't.

Hosts hold their events together with forms, messages and forwarded links, and carry the safety of the room on their own.

  • Vetting by DM and spreadsheet

Applications arrive through Google Forms, DMs and email, then live in a spreadsheet only you understand. Every event starts from scratch.

  • Ticket links get forwarded

A link meant for one approved guest is in three group chats by the weekend. You find out who's really coming when they reach the door.

  • Known bad actors just move on

Someone removed from one event for causing harm can simply turn up at the next. Hosts have no safe, fair way to stop that happening.

Scene fixes both.

Two ways to use Scene

Open the doors, or choose who comes through them.

Pick a mode for each event. Many hosts will use both.

Club nights, socials and parties

Open events

Anyone with a verified account can book. You get proper ticketing with Scene's safety features built in.

  • Non-transferable tickets tied to verified accounts
  • Every guest verified as 18 or over
  • House rules and consent policy accepted before buying
  • Your private ban list applied at checkout

Private parties, members-only nights and invite-only events

Vetted events

Everything in open events, plus full guest vetting. Nobody gets a ticket until you've said yes.

  • Custom application forms with references or vouching
  • Approve, decline or waitlist each applicant
  • Private notes shared between co-hosts
  • Address revealed only to confirmed guests

For hosts

Run the night, not the admin.

Everything you currently do across forms, inboxes and spreadsheets, in one place built for the way queer events actually work.

  • Ticketing that stays put

Sell tickets for any LGBTQ+ event. Every ticket is non-transferable and tied to a verified account, so a forwarded link is worth nothing.

  • Vetted events

    Applications, your way

Build a custom application form and ask for references or vouches from people you already trust.

  • One dashboard for decisions

Approve, decline or waitlist each applicant, and keep private notes that only you and your co-hosts can see.

  • Address on a need-to-know basis

The venue address is revealed only to confirmed guests, and only shortly before the event.

  • Rules agreed up front

Guests must accept your consent policy and house rules before they can buy a ticket. Nobody arrives unsure of what's expected.

  • Your own ban list

Keep a private list of people who aren't welcome at your events. It's yours alone, and it's applied every time someone books.

For guests

One verified profile. You decide who sees it.

Book or apply for any event on Scene without filling in the same form again, or handing over more than you want to.

Join the guest list
  • One profile, every event

Verify once that you're 18 or over. Your profile carries the events you've attended and the vouches you've earned, so you don't start from zero with each host.

  • You choose what each host sees

Decide what to share, host by host. Nothing is passed on by default.

  • Always know where you stand

A clear status for every application: received, approved, waitlisted or declined. No chasing in DMs.

  • No public attendee lists

Other guests can't browse who's going, and your profile can't be found by searching.

  • Discreet on your statement

Payments appear under a neutral billing descriptor that says nothing about the event.

  • Your data, your call

Delete your data from within your account, whenever you choose.

Safety across the scene

Harm shouldn't get a fresh start at the next event.

Today, someone removed from one night for causing harm can walk into another the following week. Scene closes that gap, and does it fairly.

  • Verified identities

Each account belongs to one verified person. Someone who has been banned can't simply sign up again under a new name.

  • A real reporting process

Serious incidents, such as assault, consent violations and threats, can be reported to Scene and are properly reviewed.

  • Platform-wide suspensions

When a report is upheld, the account is suspended across Scene, not just at the event where it happened.

Fair to everyone involved

A safety system only earns trust if it is fair to the person reporting and the person reported.

  • Reviewed by Scene

Reports are assessed by Scene, not settled by rumour or a group chat.

  • A right to respond

The person reported is told and can give their account before a decision is made.

  • Decisions can be appealed

If you think we got it wrong, you can ask for the decision to be looked at again.

  • Hosts never see allegations

A host only ever learns that an account can't book. Never who reported it, or why.

How it works

Three steps from listing to door.

  1. A host creates an event

Open or vetted. They set the tickets, the house rules and, for vetted events, the application form.

  2. Guests book or apply

With the verified profile they already have. Open events are booked straight away; vetted events go to the host for a decision.

  3. Approved guests get their tickets

Tickets are tied to their account and, where relevant, the address follows shortly before the event.

Privacy and consent

Scene is being built so that…

For many of us, who knows where we go at night is not a small thing. These are the commitments we’re building to, in plain language.

  • …even we can't read your applications.

Sensitive application answers are end-to-end encrypted between you and the host.

  • …we never hold your ID.

Identity and age checks are handled by a trusted verification provider. Scene doesn't store your ID documents.

  • …we collect as little as possible.

If we don't need a piece of information to run an event safely, we don't ask for it.

  • …your data is never sold.

Not to advertisers, not to anyone. You are not the product.

  • …you can ask us to delete it.

On request, your data is deleted once an event is over.

  • …it complies with UK GDPR.

Your rights over your data are built into how Scene works, not added afterwards.

FAQ

Good questions.

The short answers. More detail will follow as we get closer to launch.

Joining the waitlist is free and commits you to nothing. We haven't finalised pricing yet; hosts on the waitlist will see it first, well before they're asked to decide.

Yes. Scene is for LGBTQ+ events of every kind. Open events such as club nights, socials and parties get ticketing with Scene's safety features. Vetted events add applications and guest approval on top. You choose the mode for each event.

Only the hosts you choose to share it with, and only the parts you choose to share. There are no public profiles, no public attendee lists, and other guests can't look you up.

Through a trusted third-party verification provider. Scene is told that you're a real person aged 18 or over; we don't store your ID documents. You verify once and it covers every event.

A discreet, neutral billing descriptor that doesn't mention the event or what kind of event it is. We'll publish the exact wording before launch.

Reports of serious incidents, such as assault, consent violations or threats, are reviewed by Scene. The person reported is told and can respond before any decision is made. If the report is upheld, their account is suspended across the platform. Hosts never see the allegation, only that the account can't book.

Yes. Any decision to suspend an account can be appealed, and the appeal is looked at afresh.

We're building Scene now and don't have a public date yet. Access will open to the waitlist first, starting with hosts in the UK, and we'll email you when it's your turn.

Hosts get early access first. Guests, we’ll let you know when events near you go live.

How will you use Scene?

A first name, or the name you go by, is fine.

18+ only. We store only what you enter here.
